Apostolic Christianity is based on the teachings of the apostles, the twelve and the seventy mentioned in the Holy Bible and continued in the holy Tradition.
The apostles learned from the Lord Jesus Christ, especially during the forty days after His glorious resurrection, and these teachings were transferred to the Church.
An apostolic Church is based on these teachings, the bishops are the followers of the apostles. In the first four centuries, the Church was undivided. We must search for the reasons of the sinful division.
According to the Oriental Orthodox tradition, we follow the teachings of the apostles, through oral tradition, with regard to liturgies, dogmas and sacraments. Per Johansson, member in the Coptic orthodox church, one of the Oriental Orthodox churches (others are Syrian, Armenian, Ethiopian, Eritrean and Indian Orthodox churches).
